There’s a lot of great material on this album. Why Bother, The Good Life, and Pink Triangle are very good songs. But I’ve never been able to get into Across the Sea, Falling for You, or Butterfly. I’m also not a big fan of El Scorcho.

This album as a whole is very moody and angry. It is basically Rivers Cuomo’s way of telling the world that he’s been treated like crap and that he’s had enough. He seems very bitter, and his life seems very complicated. This album hit number 19 on the U.S Top 100, and is certified platinum. The two highlights on this album in my opinion are The Good Life (number 32 on the U.S Alt. Chart), which is an angry song, but has a good rhythm to it. And El Scorcho, (number 19), is the type of song that a bunch of drunk people would be singing at a bar or in that type of environment. Overall, I give this album three stars because, although it lacks big hits, it is still better than a lot of other Weezer albums.

I’m a 15 year old who just got a girlfriend and am learning to play guitar and this album is very relatable for me and I think it’s gets way too much hate. It has some great songs my personal favorite is falling for you. Ignore the bad reviews and buy it.

Everyone always talks about Weezer being some great band and this is considered the fan favorite album so I gave it a listen and it turned out to be some of the worst music I think I’ve ever heard with creepy, gross, and sexist lyrics along with terrible production. Listen to the bands Pixies and Pavement instead.
