this is not a music video for people who are sensitive about dyeing and frankly i find this video revolting but i do get the picture of what modest mouse is trying to warn us about, killing sea animals how would we like it if that happned to us.

And secondly, I am a huge on conservation of animals and want to do everything possible to stop illegal poaching and harvesting of animals so this video is a win win. I can't claim to know anything about Modest Mouse, but the band was a nice discovery and I'm an instant fan of theirs for doing what they have done in support to end whaling.

I thought King Rat was an interesting song but it's seems incomplete when not heard along with the video, which was directed by the late Heith Ledger. Poignant and powerful, you can easily appreciate the genius of both Modest Mouse and Heith Ledger when you watch it. Enjoy.

Very creative music video! The last cd I bought from modest mouse was "we were dead before the ship sank" well I can't wait for another! Definately buying this, plus it's goes to sea shepherd ;) You guys have my dream job!

I haven't a clue where to even begin. Let's start with Modest Mouse. This band does absolutely no wrong in my eyes. Even songs that I wasn't originally crazy about, such as Autumn Beds, for example, eventually grew on me and now has a play count of about 30. Next, Heath Ledger. Amazing man. I am even more impressed that he is not only an incredible actor but also, in my opinion, an equally good director. The actual song "King Rat" is beyond brilliant. This video is the icing on the cake. I just watched the iTunes FREE Music Video of the Week, and I felt it was so awful that it wasn't even deserving of my rating. This however seems to pull through as an incredible video without interpretive dance, autotunes, or "pretty girls" in black dresses.
