It’s amazing to hear on this recording what music making must have been like back in the days when a virtuoso instrumentalist could turn his or her (!) hand equally to composing or to live improvisation. This album presents the huge range of a complete artist in the truest sense of the word, who also has something important to tell us through composition about the death of her country, and obviously cares enough to compose such a dense piece about it. Amazing project. Amazing album!! With albums like this, classical music can look to the future and pull itself out of the past. More of this awesome creativity, please…!!!!!!!
