I had the opportunity to see Eva Ayllon live in New York awhile ago with my wife and she is incredible. It is a very different sound - like latin jazz meets something you never heard before. She has an powerful voice and her band plays a variety of styles seamlessly.

An excellent woman, great peruvian singer!, her singing is authentic, and her music is one of the best known in Peru. The lyrics takes you deeply into the soul of afro-peruvian music. I've seen her in live concert and they are awesome. You got to buy her music, my favorites are " RAICES DEL FESTEJO...., CUANDO LLORA MI GUITARRA, & QUE SOMOS AMATES". I wish there were more of her CD's here.... Que viva el PERU! ....
