At 22, after being the youngest person ever to record all Six Bach Solo Cello Suites, a herculean task in itself, Carmine Miranda turned his laser like focus towards the intensely difficult Piatti 12 Caprices for Solo Cello. His reading of this masterwork is nuanced, precise, elegant and full of effervescent joy . Fiercely challenging passages fly from his cello with ease and grace. This entire recording is completely fabulous and I see many great things coming for this truly gifted young artist, including a Grammy award !

I wish I could give this album more than 5 stars! What an amazing cellist, he plays with such passion and musicality. I know this term has been overused in popular culture, but he may honestly be a genius. When you see someone this young with so much talent, you wonder if it is a gift from God. Clearly we are all blessed to be able to enjoy this music.

This is definitely the best recorded version of the 12 Caprices available. Sometimes I feel as if there are multiple cellos playing at the same time. The cellist adds wonderful musicality and brings out the beautiful melodic lines. This is an amazing masterwork and have to agree with all the other comments, I will buy a physical copy as well. No wonder why this album is receiving so many great reviews on the internet.

I'm a cellist and this album is AMAZING! I don't know how he plays Caprice #3 but this is the best I've ever heard and this is really hard almost impossible to play. Great quality album.
