Really good, but still uses old material

I've listened to most of d troop's music, and I can say for sure he has so much potential and talent. My main beef is that he uses the same singing sound after the hook.
It sounds very auto tune and monotone-like (no dynamic change in notes, dynamics, scale, etc..). Also, I heard this sound since dog days (Fridays or something like it), and it's been in a lot of his songs.
Now, I don't know what he does to improve his craft, but I have a suggestion; focus purely on the rap, improve lyricism, storytelling, etc.. Then work on singing. Not trying to come off as rude or "back-seat driver", but I believe with this method, results will come much quicker and faster.
