Funstyle is not for stupid people.
It is full of sarcasm, wit and melody. I loved it when it came out and I still love it. I think Funstyle is just as worthy as Guyville. Liz is a great artist. She doesn't pay attention to the "fan boys" that want to keep her eternally in Guyville. Unlike the old indie fans that still probably live in thier parents basement lamenting her "sell out" and the break up of Husker Du....Liz Phair evolves.
Keep doing your thing Liz! Your place in musical history is firm.
A different sound, lots of humor.

This album sounds very different from Liz Phair's usual style. "And He Slayed Her" gives you that good groove, but most of the album is pretty silly. It's obvious to me that she did it on purpose, and I think this was probably a fun and cathartic project for her. I do hope she puts out an album in the future that gets back to her roots.
