Sight of the Sun - Single

this track, as many don't realize, was a leftover track from the "Some Nights" recording sessions that the band first issued on the Girls soundtrack. it's a solid track but I see why it was left off of the final album. it's good but not great. however considering that the band has announced that they have no plans to do another album together right now it's a nice little parting gift

This one is my favorite song of all time!!

Fun is a great sounding band. I loved the first album. It had amazing songs and a good,chill vibe to it. I took a liking to it because it felt to me it had a hint of Queen in it. Then Some Nights came out which rocked the nation. They stepped up their game with instant classics. It combined the perfect elements for what it takes to make classic greats(good tune, constant change of melody, catchy anthems, use of piano, the pace of the lyrics, guitar solos). I didn't really understand why half the songs were auto tuned but I did respect them for the originality. Honestly I wanted to hear more singing as did, I'm sure, many others. But this single is head scratching. I rated this song purely off that this is good music. But the fact that it's by fun disappoints me. It's simple sound and average melody makes this a pretty lame song. It doesn't sound like fun. It's not the grand sounding music we are used to. It sounds like an average alternative music song. It's got me thinking maybe fun just makes music off of whatever's popular. I hope this thought is severely wrong. Fun's next album will answer this.

I know this song isn't like Aim and Ignite or Some Nights, but it has an amazing tune. Nate Ruess's voice is perfect for this lovely song. I hope songs on their new album has some songs that relate to this.

I have always been a fan of Fun. and this definitely doesn't disappoint! I really hope they release a new album soon!

Its a pretty song, but it sounds like the rest of there music. I would like something a little different from them

Just okay. Would have liked this a lot more before the last album. But I really want them to return to the sound of their first album. The heart is still there it just needs work.
