The Wiz (Original Cast Recording)

I am a Wiz fanatic!! I too enjoy the original movie soundtrack as well as the original cast recording from the broadway play. Nonetheless, I can appreciate the cast recording just a tad more. Maybe it's my musician blood seeping through. A great buy and an investment you'll always cherish. I guarantee you that you'll be Easing on down the road for generations to come.

OMG! I'm in the play the wiz and I'm addapearl and for my solo I needed to no like what the note is and stuff so I looked up on iTunes The wiz and this came up and I was like yay!!! And so I listened to the preview of the song and it was awesome! And so I downloaded it and after only like one day of listening to it I almost know the song by heart and also it's super catchy! If you are in this play or if you just like to listen to broadway music I totally recommend this! IT IS AWESOME!

This is the greatest, and to Earl Pointer... THIS IS THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK FROM THE BROADWAY MUSIC... with Stephanie Mills and Hinton Battle. I know because I saw it when it first came out!!!! This is a Must Have edition!!! Definitely, worth 5 stars

This song is fun and amazing to listen and dance to!!!

The music to the stage version of The Wiz is awesome, more soulful whereas the film was more disco. It seems many people are confusing the two. While I like the movie, I prefer this version as did audiences back in the '70s apparently. The play won every award, but the movie was not well-received. BTW "You Can't Win" was in the original play, they cut it before opening night which is why it's not on this album.

This was one of the best plays on broadway ever. After I seen the play I could not wait for the album to come out, I went out and bought it and I played it so much iwore it out, so now I'm downloading the cd. You will love this Cd I promise. My favorite is the last song ( Home) Stephanie did her thing.

I have to say The Wiz (the movie with Michael J) is ALOT better, and TONS more interesting!! I'm a huge musical fan as well, don't get me wrong. But after seeing how happy "The Wiz" movie made me, this just cannot compare in my eyes.

I saw this production in New York City. I can still feel the vibrations of Ms. Mill's powerful voice. I highly recommend this show tune.
