I am new to the Jazz world, and I heard this CD for the first time and I fell in love. There isn't one song on this CD that I don't listen to. It is pure music bliss from track 1 to track 11! No need to fast forward to your favorite song...each one is a hit!

I have just recently been turned on to Richard Elliot, an I have to say that I really enjoy all of his music. This album just makes down time so much more relaxing. I thought this album was great, especially "Chill Bill" and "Metro Blue". Overall, this album is phenomenally in tune with Jazz from the past and the new jazz of today.

as i listened to songs such as mystique and metro blue, i was inspired. I have been playing the alto sax for eight years, and this guy inspired me to do smooth jazz.

Richard is at the top of his game (musically). He is by far an icon jazz entertainer with soul and a taste of some serious funk. The show was awesome, powered w/ energy to the maximum. Richard is not afraid to "Jump Off" the stage (while playing the sax) into the audience to dance and have fun. Richard is always therapeutic, delivering a message to “embrace your soul”, as well as how precious life is (every new day) and to let go of your fears and live for all of it’s beauty. His music is always a "who's" that...? While at work and in my car. I tell them… it's my cool brother Richard Elliot. Richard, D.C. loves you! Your musical food is what the world needs more of.

Richard Elliot is absolutely awesome on this CD! Somewhere in one of his lives he was a "soul brother", but more importantly, he is a musician's musician and a hell-of-a-act to follow. I really enjoy the diversity and the musical range that is so well articulated musically in each of his songs. Metro Blue is more than just another jazz CD. It's a musical journey and an exilarating escape. Richard you are fantastic!
