Reviews

  • Mind Transplant - great on its own merits

I love this album, especially the guitar work of Lee Ritenour (Happiness is loving you, Some of the things people do) and Tommy Bolin (Mind Transplant, Asorbic Acid, Golden Rainbows, Nitroglycerin). Alphonse Mouzon is steady (Some of the things people do, Golden Rainbows) and explosive (Asobic Acid, Mind Transplant, Nitro Glycerin) - also holding down various keyboards and vocals. Just a comment on the Spectrum vs. Mind Transplant. No comment. Alphonse Mouson is an accomplished drummer. I also love his work with the Eleventh House, Weather Report, Al Dimeola, and Joachim Kuhn. - AWB
  • Better in my mind than Spectrum

My feelings about Spectrum are a little biased because the Itunes version apparently repeats track 2 and 3, but even with that reservation, this album just sounds fresher to me than Spectrum.
