Fell in love casually with Baby don't cry, and subsequently with the entire album! It's hard to find an album where you enjoy every single song, and this album does that to me. Love it.

I was in Senior High School when this Song came out on the radio. And all I remember at the time of 89'/90'.Was that how "Ground breaking" She sounded.A young Beautiful Black Sista with a sweet Babyface look. And a matured singing voice beyond Her years. She was a huge crush of mine then and My Art design class Teacher.Didnt mind if We all played the radio. And when Her song would come on! I'd most certainly turn it up.Reminiscent of Her Dad! But Lalah is unlike any vocalist I've ever heard.Madd versatile for real! Aside from being 1 of Black America's ideal Young Ladies. Her style is ageless and just goes on.And will continue to so long as time exist.

Lalah is a beautiful soulful jazzy singer. She has so many variations in her voice, highs lows in betweens. So authentic to me. I saw her at a Jazz Festival, my idol oh gosh. I was literally taken back. Grew up with my family listening to Donnie Haathaway her father. Both are sounds you should have in your library

I have so many memories behind this album. Her debut shows you that she was blessed with a gift early on.
