Back in the day I first heard of Gary Moore from an interview I read with Vivian Campbell (who was playing with DIO at the time). Campbell cited Moore as a huge influence. I went right out and found Victims of the Future on cassette. Moore became my favorite guitar player instantly. His ability to mix "make you cry" blues and absolute shredding is second to none. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed. It is an absolute crime he never caught on in the US the way he should have. RIP Gary Moore.

There are some very good tracks here. "Victims of the Future" & "Murder in the Skies" are excellent. The solo in 'Shapes of Things' is awesome. The ballad "Empty Rooms" lends a slight hint at Moore's future direction, but as a Hard Rock release, you can't go wrong here.
