"To Match the Sun" is a stone cold classic.

I bought this back in the day but, it didn’t standout like it’s predecessors. Ritual will always be my favorite Jane’s Addiction album. Strays is my least. I wish I could explain it. To me It just felt off from the classic albums. Whereas Great Escape Artists feels like a return to form.
Give the bassist some!

Jane's was akin to Led Zeppelin- they truly were greater than the sum of their parts. When Eric left, non-musicians realized just how much his basslines guided, shaped, and grounded the songs and the rest of the band (particularly Dave).
So glad I got to see the proper lineup a number of times. Ethereal stuff!
Strong-ish start

The licensed music critic isn’t wrong about this record: the songwriting is weak relative to the earlier records. However, this one certainly sounds good and the first five songs would’ve made a pretty solid EP.
Sooo under rated

I remember when this came out.Guitar Center spotlighted it in their monthly circular.Had my doubts.Man,was I wrong.I am a child of the 80's who just couldn't embrace the whole spandex thing. When grunge took over I actually felt more at home.STP,Pearl Jam,Alice in Chains and the like.I really don't know why ,or for that matter really care why.But I fell head over heals for this band. The Ritual cd is one of my all time fav's.When this record came out,for some reason I didn't pay much attention.Thought it was a"reunion"record,Which usually aren't so good.Wrong, check it out.You won't be sorry.

From start to finish, this is a great album. Classic Jane's with a little modern flavor. Definitely a must have for fans and a bargain.

I can't believe I accidentally found this great album just now. It's 12:31am and I'm in my kitchen finishing up some dishes before I go to bed, and I can barely hear the tv on in the living room. As soon as I turn the water off I immediately recognize Perry's unique voice so I went to investigate what was airing on my tv.....
It was a movie I'd never seen before named Torque. So I googled its soundtrack. It looks like a really good soundtrack, however after I found out the name of the song I went to iTunes and found the song is on an album I never even heard of? And I LOVE JANES ADDICTION! This is such a great album, how it is unknown to the world of JA fans is shocking! I'm thankful I found it though!
Ten bucks well spent.

It seems like forever in between Jane’s Addiction albums - but the wait is always worthwhile. When I first heard this, admittedly, dust had collected on my copies of Nothing’s Shocking and Ritual. Hearing this reminded me of just how great these guys are. God I love this band!
Get em all!

I'm a studio album only guy and why this album has gone relatively unnoticed is a mystery to me. Jane's studio efforts are all good, get all 4!
One of my favorite albums

I'm not even a Jane's Addiction fan but I stumbled on this album because of the song Just Because and it's awesome riff. I just grabbed the whole album and was not disappointed. Every song rocks. Perry's vocals are on. The drums rock. The bass is hitting and the guitar riffs are great. This album has become one of my favorites! I love albums that can be listened to straight through and this is one of those albums. It doesn't disappoint.
