It was a fresh new voice in music that had never been heard in terms of crossover between street and South Africa. Like him or hate him, this album stands the test of time. It's still brilliant after 40 years.

Malcolm McLaren was very influential in bridging the gap between musical genres while allowing them to stand alone in their own right and be experienced by people who may not have been exposed to them otherwise.

Unlike so many albums today this album has so many distinct influences. I love the way it goes from African to South American and Hip-Hop.
