Do you need an album to get your feet moving? You've found it. Forward March is an excellent album of marches performed by the US Army band and one you surely shouldn't miss. The Boys of the Old Brigade and Commando March are two of my favorite tracks, but the whole album is excellent. A march, as a musical genre, is a piece of music with a strong regular rhythm which in origin was expressly written for marching to and most frequently performed by a military band. In mood, marches range from the moving death march in Wagner's Götterdämmerung to the brisk military marches of John Philip Sousa and the martial hymns of the late 19th century. This album has a wide range of moods but each one will help you start your day off right. If only I could get my grand kids to move around in orderly lines. If you love military music, marches, or just music that inspires this is album for you. If you want more great music check out Call to Duty by the US Army Field Band. They are both great albums and one or both is sure to have the kind of music you are looking for. So March Forward and get this album!!! army band , army bands , army field band , army the band , band army of , army brass band , army band new , united states army band , and army band, army band music , army marching band , states army band , army band concert , army band of the , army national band , army of one band

Forward March! fills me with this intense energy. I never thought a rock n' roll girl like me would get into military music, let alone military marches but here I am playing it over and over and over again. I only ever heard of few of the titles on this CD. The music selection is superb. When I close my eyes, I can feel the sun and wind on my face as if I am in the bleachers watching soldiers march by me. This is a wonderful CD for children of all ages. This CD if full of energy bursting to get out and yet there is a subtle hint of pure relaxation. Close your eyes and let your imagination go. This is definitely a CD that should be in every person's collection. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to review something that gives me such pleasure and imagination. Many people may nit-pick over this CD as a professional, which I am not. I review this as a person with eclectic taste. I know what I like and I know what I do not like . . . "FORWARD MARCH!" I LIKE!!!

I was a member of the Army Band and this album is by far the best I have ever heard. It brings back great memories of the time I so proudly serviced in the U.S. Army!! Thank you for making this recording!!

This is the kind of stuff that Veterans' Day parades are made of. I became an Army bugler because of traditional marches like this. Also an excellent recording, because I've heard too many that sound like a high school band in a bathroom.
