Spent a week listening to Mr. Golub on a Smooth Jazz Cruise. In spite of his recent blindness he was still full of energy, humor and optimism. LOVE his music. Sad to hear of his recent passing from other medical conditions. The music lives on. Thanks Jeff, you are missed.

Train Keeps A Rollin, the new CD by stellar guitarist Jeff Golub and master Hammond B3 organist Brian Auger, is a blend of funky jazz, and Blues, with the deft addition of spice—laden pop and straight-ahead Rock (there’s even a cover of “How Long” with guest Christopher Cross)—all blended into a seamless amalgam of seasoned musicianship that simmers all the ingredients together in a comforting, familiar but satisfying meal. Fresh ingredients (enjoy the wah-wah effect on Whenever You’re Ready) that’s got its groove on for the mature appreciative listener. Enjoy, and don’t forget to come back for seconds (including a rendition of Walking On The Moon by The Police).

This one finally got me to notice Jeff Golub; as a big fan of the collaborations of Neal Larson and Buzzy Feiten back in the late 70's and 80's and my college days hosting a jazz show in Wisconsin. I miss the Larson-Feiten band and this is a nice substitute to their Hammond B/guitar fusion. Was always a fan for Brian Auger so welcome to Golub-Auger! Listen on!

It's been a long time since I've jammed to Brian Auger. Still listening to and loved for years the Oblivion Express and Julie Driscoll. Thanks for the new tracks. It's great hearing you again.

Having all of Jeff's CD's, I am a huge fan. I've had the pleasure of seeing him live. This CD is one fantastic jam. His guitar with Brian Auger's organ-WOW. From start to finish, this disc is a winner. Uptempo, great music-played by the best in the business. This CD is so good, it should climb up the charts very, very quickly. Love it !!!!

If you love classic guitar riffs and the B3 organ then this is the album for you. Jeff is in rare form and the collaboration with Brian Auger takes this to a whole new place. Just finished my first listen and loved The Cat, J & B, Isola Natale, and Pusherman. Can't wait to see the show in NYC. KZ
