This is Miller at his best. Before MNF...before he started gurgling O'Reilly's mayo, he was sharp, unmerciful, bi-partisan and a master of his craft. Ignore the fact that he's a hack now and just enjoy some amazing comedy.

My download of Track #2 doesn't play after a few seconds. Dennis Miller has a great way of looking at topics and tying them to such arcane cultural references. His humor is good exercise for the mind.

So glad to find this album on iTunes. I remember listening to the cassette back in highschool... over and over. It was genius then and still is now. Miller just has incredible comedic timing and content to appeal to his intellectual audience. Get Dennis Miller's Black and White on here next, and I'll bring back the 80's hair helmet! "I'm 5 over here, Dr. Alchemy!"

Some men celebrate their middle age by buying an expensive, flashy car... Dennis Miller celebrated his by joining the political Right in a pro-War, pro-Bush, anti-comedy career move. While I haven't found the man funny since the last couple years of his HBO show, this CD shows him while he was still in top form back in the late 80's... the same period of time you would have seen his Weekend Update on SNL. While he may have taken his career in a completely opposite direction since then, and his detractors have a valid point with his erudite pop culture references occasionally erring on the side of pretentious, there's still a lot to like in his rapid-fire, smart-aleck delivery. Like Sam Kinison and Eddie Murphy, the jokes can be extremely dated, especially the more obscure references, but it's worth a go for anyone who lived through the 80's.

...kinda like "Flo is a hoot", anybody who's listened to any Dennis Miller at all needs this cd. Yeah, he is arrogant, pretentious, and full of his own intelligence, but he's still funnier than most stand-up or topical comedians. Bad thing about Dennis, if you don't have your dictionary, thesaurus, or pop culture reference books (is there such a thing?), then you'll be lost during most of the cd. Great stuff, though. I miss the Dennis Miller Live show on HBO, one of my faves of all time...
