Reviews

  • Simply a Favorite

Stolen Moments is one most favorite of all of Alison Brown's albums (to date). Summer Running with its whimsical slightly out of rhythm beginning and then settling into a delightful rhythm is the one Alison Brown song I play to introduce someone new to her. This album was my first musical choice when I loaded music on a new iPAD. Alison, thank you for your gift of music.

I have 3 other Alison Brown recodings which I've had for 5-6 years and I still hit the repeat button for a lot of the tunes. Stolen Moments will be the same!!
  • Innovative bluegrass, folk & jazz rolled into one!

Alison Brown masterfully blends innovative modern bluegrass, folk, and jazz in the most balanced and artful way I've ever heard. This music is both dynamic and soothing - a difficult feat to achieve, and this incredible album is hard to stop listening to over and over again. As George Winston is to the piano, Alison Brown is to the banjo. It there were a six-star rating for absolutely outstanding albums, this one gets my vote!
