I just love this album - it's a wonderful mix of simple and wondrous, unique and accessible. I see negative reviews and can only think they are due to unmet expectations based on Dinnerstein's classical pedigree. Let her expand her horizons (and maybe expand your own?).

Why do classical artists try to do crossover/pop projects only to fail misrably at it? I'm guessing the cover photo shot w/ the prepared piano is supposed ot call back to Hilary Hahn and her Silfra disc, but Dinnerstein is no Hahn, and this is just an embarrisment to both parties involved. Run away as fast as you can from this one. -Bz

….why this newly released album is receiving negative reviews. This music sounds absolutely exquisite. While the vocals are not the most passionate or powerful, the compositions themselves are worthy of at least a 4 star review.

This album is brave and vulnerable and exactly the kind of album I love to listen to. The Schubert and Dido's Lament are worth the price of the album alone. Thank you for this.
