Former Sideman Cuts His Own "West Coast Blues Record" (News @ 11?)

I checked out "Think About It" to see if it harkened back to the super-awesome playing Schultz did with Rod Piazza's Mighty Flyers on the now-venerable disc, "Blues In The Dark". And it did, somewhat. On "Think About It", Schultz proves to still be one of the best and most tasteful blues guitarists in the land IMHO. That said, the record just seems like another West Coast blues sideman's effort to add to other somewhat interchangeable ones; high on musicianship and playin' together idiomatically, but low on concept and originality, perhaps. "Bought that, heard that", y'know? Again, - Material, Material, Material! :)
