These guys are incredible. Not only is this an amazing recording, but boy can they play live!! I got to see them perform at their cd release in Chicago last month and was completely blown away. Besides the impeccably beautiful interpretations, this recording has been masterfully produced and the sound is warm, full and soulful. Bravi tutti!

The new recording by cellist Ian Maksin and Ani Gogova is a triumph! These two music collaborators perform as well as their respective names fit together (iAN&ANi). From a rarely heard piece "In the Style of Albeniz" by Rodion Shchedrin to the familiar works by de Falla and Piazzolla this recording offers a wonderful variety of contrasting colors; hot and cold, austere and brilliant. A natural sounding acoustic is well balanced throughout. This recording on my short list of favorites.
