Upon first glance of this album, I thought it would be more on the 'liquid' side of the spectrum.. I was wrong! this album goes pretty deep into the deciduous forest. If you haven't picked up the Love/hate EP, you should. That Submotion Orchestra remix is a soon to be classic. Also, the Submotion Orchestra album that tune came off of is really great too. Big Ups S.P.Y. and Hospital!
  • BEST DNB ALBUM IN A LONG TIME

This is been one of the best purchases I have made on an album in a long time. S.P.Y. captures almost every facet of DNB there is. I am happy with where Hospital Records is going. There for a while I was getting worried. Everything coming out was sub-par when compared to previous releases. Yikes! was a bust, sorry Tony. It just wasn't Syncopated City. I liked the new High Contrast album, then Netsky's new album was great but sounded like a lot of the same elements that were in The Agony & the Ecstasy. But this...This is a masterpiece! I have been listening to this over and over since the day it dropped. Excellent! Future releases?....Just take my money!

I'm almost speechless, it's difficult writing a review to such a sonic voyage, by such an incredible artist! This is an incredible first full length album, as I'm used to picking up S.P.Y.'s various EP's, just never a full feature so to speak. "What the Future Holds" is cinematic in scope and breadth, and executed brilliantly. "You"'s ebb and flow is great to kick it to and mellow out with, although I am already sure an entirely different beast live! One of my personal favourites is "See the Light" with its old school samples and synths throughout! I've always loved how the "old skool" synths cut through mixes, and they certainly don't disappoint here. In short, stop reading this review and just buy the entire album, it's literally "all good"!
