This was one of the first albums I bought when I moved into my first apartment on Carmine St. in the village& I wore it out. I love her renditions Of SinCity , Wheels & Oh Las Vegas… Til i Gain Control Again still brings a tear to my eye. I have this album on vinyl 8track cassette CD and now on my iPod and I’ll probably have it on whatever technology that replaces iPod. Timeless and classic!

This contribution by my favorite all time artist would be amongst my top 10 choices for music to have when stranded on the island. "Till I Can Gain Control" is my number 1 all time favorite song as well. My one wish is that Emmylou would add it to her tour repertoire. This album is one of those "must have" in any collection. -Terrry A., San Diego, CA

I first bought this albumn after hearing Together Again on WFAA-Dallas radio while an art major at a college in Oklahoma. I had very little money and it was a huge investment at the time but the collection of songs on this album connected to my core and has been one of my favorites for over 30 years. Now successful and living in "Ooh Las Vegas", the CD is still frequently played and how appropriate that it still speaks to my roots and reminds me of those struggling days in Oklahoma when life was not always easy but Her sound was always pure, inspiring and soulful. I travelled as often as possible to see her in concerts as her early career blossomed at the Outlaw in OKC, performing as opening acts for Willie Nelson, touring with Bob Dylan, and finally solo concerts in small towns and large towns all over the Southwest. "Satan's Jewel Crown", "Sin City", "Till I Gain Control Again" are exquisite renditions with respect for the Parsons influence. Her interpretations of the Beatles' "Here There and Everywhere" fills my spirit with the possibility of forever love and her cover of Buck Owens' "Together Again" has personally been embedded in my head since I first heard it. This album is one that can be played in its entirity without the impatience of hurrying through the bad cuts, there are none. Emmylou mastered the sound that reflects this time and place that brings me joy everytime I reflect on the happiest moments in my life. ( Heart Like a Wheel by Linda Ronstadt is another collection that almost comes close.) I have every Harris album, repurchased all on CD, downloaded from Itunes, and most of the songs on others albums where I can trace her voice even as a backup. A distinctive, original and artistic visionary who is a musicians' musician, her contributions will linger on forever.

Remastering has come to a new level with this Cd. "One of These Days" and "Here, There and Everywhere" will bring tears your eyes, not only with her beautiful voice, but also the haunting instrumentals. Emmylou is truly the greatest female bluegrass/country singer.
