A Portrait of Ladymay

I really like this album, good songs, well performed and recorded. Ladymay has a youthful, fresh sound with mature chops and style, and she can handle a wide variety of genres, from Straightahead to Brazilian (singing Portugese without a cringe-inducing accent), from Folksy Americana to Neosoul; she does it all, and she does it well. Thank you iTunes for the "Listeners also bought" feature, I was clicking through a bunch of stuff, and listening to Gretchen Parlato when this caught my eye!

I think anyone can agree that this lady is an extraordinary artist. The vocal lines sound effortless, but so passionate, too. As always, excellent improvisation, both with and without lyrics. The groove and style are right on target. Great job, Tatiana! I am proud to know you!
