In my opinion, this is the better. The songs are catchy, the sound quality is better than in episode 1, and it has epic boss fight music. 5 stars because while the Genesis sounds were a little better, this is still a nice album. S Rank, Sega!

I can't stop listening to the songs on here.Got to be honest some songs are bad to tel the truth but yea still some cool songs especially the "Metal Sonic Boss Theme" The boss right after white park zone I've played the game half way to the end until it crashed over and over😡.!!!!...

I can see why some people don't like this: uninspired short loops. But other people like it because it is full of energy. Although it is true that Sonic the Hedgehog has had some better music, this soundtrack is good, but bad at the same time.

They say you can't beat the original, but w/ Sonic 4 ep 2 and it's soundtrack , S rank for you SEGA!!! Thx!! Oh, and thx for ep 3

A very good solid soundtrack, that may not match up to the genesis titles but is still great! Many songs are short and loop, but it is still a very good soundtrack that is worth the money! Lol oil ocean act two: duck murder zone. Lol!
