Let me say that while Mark very much has his own sound I really do see the Warne Marsh influence in the fluid runs and the flights into the upper register in particular. That said I really appreciate his unique style, beautiful sound and expressive phrasing. Lovely work Mark!

One of the most influential jazz musicians of our era lays it all out in this brilliant solo session. His thought process is as clear as his tone. This is an absolute must for anyone who plays the tenor or enjoys organic, soulful, deeply powerful improvising. Mark builds vertical soundscapes bit by bit. Timeless.
