"Back to the Root" is filled with memorable, inspired, songs brought to heartfelt life by Sista Jean's deep, rich, and soulful vocals. The music is as comforting as a cherished vintage vinyl, spun together with a fresh and unique voice. Lovely guitar work weaves a magic spell throughout the CD. Sista Jean and CB take the listener on a thoughtful, intimate journey. Well worth adding to any collection!

Sista Jean McClain is a beautiful blues singer. I love this album with original acoustic blues music by CB. If you love the blues this is an album to have. The songs are heartfelt and I am moved by the muisc and lyrics of this talented woman. She has toured with the great Hugh Laurie this summer and shared her voice with thousands. I cannot wait for the next album.
