This is the only vocal track from the movie HUGO. Usually overlooked (pun intended) at the end credits, this version of the main theme is very well done. I bought it for my library because it reminded me of the gentle lilting theme of the film - also well done. Reviews suggest the movie wasn’t as popular with the general public as producers had hoped, but for those who love the movies and the origins of silent film, this is a must.

This is one of the director's great films and the score complements it very well. I would expect that each actor fully recognized the importance the man the story is really about. That it is a young boy, who sees with the eyes of a child the dreams many adults have forgotten. So many movies have become base, but this one is not and will be a classic for those, who are fascinated by the theory and history of cinema.

This movie is much better than one would think if ones opinion is based on the movie trailers. In the advertisements they make it look like a kids movie, but it's really a great piece of art. The colors and cinematography are just perfect. The clothing, the smoke, the gears in the toys and clocks, the library, the books, the overall architecture...marvelous. The music is beautiful and very soothing. It has a very happy outcome and just makes you feel good. This movie is pure art. Very VERY inspirational.

I think Howard Shore is really magical,I love all of his soundtracks, but this score is simply perfect,it really takes you back to old Paris, and it's gorgeous,Hugo is my favorite movie because of its acting, the theme and the soundtrack. I just don't have the right words to describe how beautiful this is.

Howard Shore's soundtrack is very good movie music and a fine fit to the film. The use of the accordion and the lyrical tune evokes Paris. But, if you are a fan of soundtracks, you will hear music phrases and chords that sound exactly like James Newton Howard's music in The Adjustment Bureau.
