I believe Kane will always be an inspiration for the contributions of the art itself. Many artists from generations thereafter will become enthused as I was, to indulge in Hiphop.

This album is a 5/5. One of the best albums ever from a top 5 MC ever in my opinion. His lyricism is off the hook. He's a pioneer of hiphop. My top 5 tracks: 1. Raw (Remix) 2. Set It Off 3. Just Rhymin' Wit The Biz 4. Ain't No Half Steppin 5. On The Bugged Tip

I wish music was like this now a day, a lot put into it, rhyme flow tight, no need to curse on every bar, real hip hop, real music. Juice crew was on top of the world and big daddy was the shinning star. Not only was he the star, but he helped others become stars, main one being Biz Markie as he wrote Biz's classic first album. However, Kane became a giant not just on his flow or good looks, it was the tight production from Marley marl, as they went hand in hand as you can see when Kane left Crew to do his own thing his status fell and fell fast. However, you can see and feel the bond and chemistry Marl and Kane had as this album is by far one of the best ever in hip hop History. This was one of those rare albums that you can listen too without having to fast forward a track. Classic

Sometimes when you listen to something you haven't heard in a while, it's not exactly as good as you remembered it. But not this. Long Live The Kane is the perfect title. This album sounds as good as it did in the Summer of 88'.. Simple genius. The Illmatic before Illmatic..
