When D-Boy came out I wus still a. Pee-wee but it wus so real it's so true he wus way ahead of his time. There wus nothin "Corny" about Any of the tracks. There wus No Way it should have been different. It wus under Gods guidance an it wus prophetic! There wus no shame in his game. Much love 4 D-Boy and his family.

I miss D-boy so bad. I was a sr in high school when I heard that he had been killed. I was devastated. At the time his CD the Lyrical Strength of One Street Poet was AMAZING! As good if not better than anything on mainstream radio. All though way below the production level of the 2nd album, I loved this debut project as well. It was better than most Christian hip-hop out at the time. I can't wait to meet him in Heaven oneday.
Good Memories

D-Boy Rodriguez was an up and comer whose pre-Christian life hunted him down and took him way too early. This was an early chirstian rap effort that although amateurish gives me the warm fuzzies. I remember learning these lyrics and just exploding on my friends with lessons taught me by this man. This album will always hold a special place in my heart. MUCH LOVE D-BOY!!!
I wish there were half stars on the ratings

I would give this 3 1/2 stars if I could. This guys debut record was good but was held back by some of the production. He was way more street than this record gives him credit for. Check out "the lyrical strength of one street poet", an album that was by far better than this offering. Lyrically he was way ahead of his time. In my opinion the best tracks are
"G.O.D.S. Posse in effect"
"When I Strut"
"It's a Disease"
And the title track "Plantin' A Seed"
Most of the rest are ok but some border on corny. No disrespect though, to the late great D-boy.
Peace.
