Forget and Not Slow Down

Perfect mix of heavy, punky, solemn, introspective, deep, and beautiful

This is one of my favorite Relient K albums, and I’ve been a fan since pretty early on (since Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek). One of their best works. Yeah, it’s a breakup album, but as someone who uses music to help me write, I think the songs can work for other things. Romantic relationships mirror our relationship to God and oftentimes songs could apply to close friendships too. I like this album almost as much as Mmhmm, which is my favorite. Initially I didn’t like Mmhmm either, because it was different than the previous three, but I grew to appreciate it as the best after a short while. I liked FaNSD more that 5 Score, personally. The beautiful harmony (I love their harmony), general music talent, and clever lyrics are all there, and I think the lyrics were deep and meaningful; they just were directly referencing relationships and not God. That doesn’t make them “not Christian.” God should apply to all parts of our lives. Everything doesn’t have to be in-your-face Christian.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM. I have one problem though. Why isn’t it on Apple Music?

You all have the greatest songs. I’m a Christian and from your songs I valise you are as well. Your songs speak truth of God. My mom is living proof of that. Her and my dad where separated when I was about four or five. Your song crept her faithful to God. And now I have my parents back together and an amazing story to tell. Your songs have become my favorite songs. And now your songs are helping me with a girl that I like. Thank you for your great songs. And God bless.

I'll admit, this album was an acquired taste for me. But it's turned out to be one of my favorite albums of all time from any band. It's different than other RK albums, but in a good way. It's absolutely refreshing.

This is by far Relient k's most mature sounding rock album with great music and lyrics. You can listen to this album from start to finish and enjoy every last bit of it. If I had to pick, my favorite track would be I Don't Need a Soul.

Emotionally, positively, absolutely beautiful.

Forget And Not Slow Down is one of my treasures. Possibly the most phenomenal, breathtaking, beautiful sound for the ears, understanding and fascinating for the mind. I could go on forever about the elegance of the sounds...the intensity of the drums...the pure humanity, pain, truth inside the voice. I could write an essay about this album, because to me, it's like I'm deeply analyzing honest, marvelous poetry. This album is pure gold and worth the listen.

I love all of the songs on this album, But after I downloaded the whole thing, I noticed that I didn't get the webisodes, I bought the whole album and still couldn't get them.
