Texas born singer-songwriter Rex Foster is a musicians' musician, existing on the edges of the limelight but highly regarded by some of music's best and brightest stars. Foster has been a songwriter since 1965 and a performer since 1963, having toured across the nation as part of the Medicine Ball Caravan along with Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, B.B. King, the Faces and countless others. After taking a hiatus in the 80s to focus on raising his family, Foster returned to the road and to the studio, releasing several records; his latest offering is "That Extra Mile," produced by longtime friend and collaborator Peter Rowan.
