Reviews

  • Epic Album! Songs crafted masterfully from a modern master.

A true master of an instrument comes around once every generation. Eley is that master. (if you know what I mean) His masterful control of his chosen instrument blends classical masterfulism with a modern funk twist. The title track is a masterful collection of jazz-influenced funk with a world beat to back it up. He brings in some rock influences and even some mastery of hip-hop to create a masterful collection of songs that will appeal to any taste. Track 2 is an epic quiet-stormer that one could picture himself making masterful love to. The masterfully sexy, upbeat tempo and wah-wah guitars of Right There takes you to the heart of the action (if you know what I mean). The clacking drums of Caribbean Rain recall the modern percussion master John Dolmayan. Coast to Coast has a masterfully banging kick drum section with a slow Rhodes organ groove that Trey plays his modern flute mastery over. I would really like to know where this album was recorded and mastered at because the quality of these songs is unsurpassed. (if you know what I mean)
