There are a couple of canidates for best album for the 1st quarter of 2009, but I think this is the best so far. I've been waitin' for this since I heard "The Sun" in late 2008. Thought provoking and head noddin' at the same time. Lif is very intuned with the paradoxs of a capitalistic society. He has consistently been spittin' this since Arise and Farmhand. Collapse the Walls, Breathe, Hatred, Dawn, Head High all ILL. My only complaints are the 2 "scenes." There not bad and my critism isn't solely with this album, since I think skits are generally overused and should be left to Prince Paul/De La Soul. Other than that, you can't go wrong with this. Probably the most consistent album since I Phantom and hardcore Lif fans will not be disappointed. Me Included.

This album rocks, and most definitely falls in the Indie Hip Hop category. After all, Lif is a Def Juxie, and has been rippin lyrics since '97. A must bye for any Lif fan.

"The Sun" is a nasty song with a great beat... but buy the album you'll love it all.

Potent lyrics, incredible beat selection, graspable message, relevant topics. Best work by Lif so far. Skilled rhyme flow of political/social lyrics, combined with the amazing selection of beats. Very strong album.
