Who is the idiot saying that they wanted to get Tool on iTunes? It's not going to happen. You know it. I know it. The dog knows it.
For a string tribute, this was actually a pretty good rendition. It's not a replacement, but a compliment. I play this whenever I study and my roommates are like "this is awesome, I had no idea Tool was actually this good, creative, ect…" Look at that any way you want, but how I see it is, hey, the more tool fans the better.

While this Tribute to Tool has its own feel and style, I do not feel that this Tribute by the String Quartet properly captured the feel that Tool originally intended, for example the song Lateralus the intro was written for the Bass Guitar and I do not believe the String Instruments used in this Tribute captured or even enhanced the original intentions of the band. A (in my opinion) proper Tribute would have used the same instruments maybe in a lower stylized tuning, in order to recreate that dark feeling that the Album Lateralus brings when listened to in its original form.

Ugh.... Honestly my first comment on iTunes. I love Tool. Simply amazing. I notice someone earlier said that this album's rendition of certain songs are not similar..... All I have to say to people looking to buy this, just keep in mind this is a string TRIBUTE, not a cover, a tribute. Simply to honor Tool and give respect to an amazing band with wonderful songs. And yes Parabola definately has a way way different feel and sound than the original.

I think the Vitamin String Quartet is the only tribute to Tool that is worth buying. My favorite is Reflection. It captures the Tool sound in a different way. To me the other tributes don't pay tribute this one does.

I LOVE tool, realy im a die hard fan and a fan of the vitamin string quartet but there rendition of tools lateralus is just horrible. most of the songs dont even sound the same, there off by a few notes, not to mention they left out an entire section of the song the patient. parabola is off and no where dose it sound the same as the original. just buy parabol and eon blue apocalypse there the only good ones
