Tasty Tortillas

Listening to BURNT Tortillas feels like an adventure through the Southern California sonic landscape. From the outset, this album takes me from interesting place to place... desert dirty hip hop infused reggae----> beautyful beach sunset soul sounds----> psychedelic punky mountain peaks----> roots acoustic rastaman rivers... this album is like a california burrito filled with the best of the hip hop roots rock soul scene, wrapped in a burnt tortilla.

Fresh, and satisfying. This album reminds me of that sweet old mexican lady on the street making tacos with tortillas straight off the flaming hot grill. An eclectic and vibrant album, a truly original and pleasing sound.

This is my favorite album in the entire Burnt catalog. Their most complete statement to date. Burnt is the quintessential grass roots production. The music eschews genre and transcends to the level of only the purest expressions of human pronouncement and exclamation. Tortillas is both rocking and syrupy: A delightful pumpkin patch for the soul!
