    He is from South Philadelphia, and back then for a folk singer to come out of an area where there were mainly teen idols and dowop groups, he helped set a standard for singers like Dia DiCristino who comes from the same exact area as him. Great storytellers, great songwriters. Thank Jim Croce for help paving the way!

    if anyone can remember when VH1 still did any sort of programming related to music, they used to have a program called storytellers, i know you are know what i'm talking about, so maybe this review should focus more on the quality of this jim croce recording and less on the complete collapse of any integrity that VH1 once had. anyway, amazing album, it's so nice to hear one of the generation's best storytelling songwriters to just give a little insight into the genesis of his great characters. enjoy.
