this is a great album. it's incredible that it wasn't released in this form in the 60s. But we have it now!

Finally, given the right musicians and singers, Brian Wilson's masterpiece comes to fruition. May take newcomers to non hardcore Beach Boy fans to "get it". Even the original Beach Boys didn't !
  • I hate to spoil the party, but...

Wow. I know I'm supposed to think Brian Wilson is a genius, but huge chunks of this seem to be simply unlistenable to me...
  • Random!

This is a random album. It sounds like a creative person had an acid trip and then twisted it into an album, then added a huge amount of brilliance. It is so random, yet so beautiful, that you can see why it drove Brian mad.
  • Wow, just wow

I don't even need to put this in words, the previews speak for themselves. The only problem I have is the timing, this would have knocked the beatles right off the charts!

It took this album almost forty years to be released. This is one of the best albums of any genre, of all time. If you like music at all you will buy this album, now!

This is certainly the longest anticipated album of all time. It was worth the wait. I went to the premiere concert in London on 2004. It was a magic evening. The Album is as good as the show but not the same. It was great to actually see the various musicians plays all those instruments live. You might consider the live DVD. For me, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Ben Folds and 'Muller and Patton' are my top favs at the moment. Do yourself a favor and buy this!

Fans of the Beach Boys will love this album, which features such classics as "Heroes and Villains" and "Good Vibrations." However, Brian Wilson's genius is also heard through a few of the melodies and arrangements throughout the rest of the album. It was worth the wait, a definite summer driving album.
