Madlib and Doom out did themselves on this Madvilliany remix album, i refuse to compare it to the original version because thatโ€™s disrespectful to their art but itโ€™s a masterpiece in itโ€™s own right๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Madvillainy 2 is pretty cool, but I personally think the original is better. The changes in beats and instrumentals is unique and a nice a little surprise for those who own Madvillainy. Not bad But i'm still waiting for that new album

I don't even know how people could listen to mainstream hiphop. It's effin garbaaj. Doom and Madlib colaborated is world domination

Sermon may just be the greatest beat of all time.... Think about it.

The beats are simply amazing, totally unique and of a creative caliber that one could only expect from The Beat Konducta, Madlib. The fact that he was able to take DOOM's rhymes from the previous Madvillain album and create a whole new atmosphere and listening experience is a testament to just how consistent this guy really is with his work. It may not be immediately accessible at first, but seriously, gain a minimum amount of patience and just put throw on the headphones and LISTEN to this bad boy. Truly inspired.
  • Not A Sequel

This is not a sequel to Madvillain. Specifically because the Villain is missing. This sounds more like a Madlib album, than anything. Madvillain had equal parts DOOM and Madlib which led to its unique sound. This is all Madlib which creates a uneveness and roughness to the lyrics and flows that is not in the original. If you have, like I have, listened to Madvillain a million times, then there is little new here. I like Madlib, but this is no Madvillain. Food, we need more food.

What is up with the underground lately. All the so called backpack rappers and true beat makers are getting lazy. Your fans want new exciting material. If your going to drop a new album come hard, or don't come at all.
