Mesmerizing and unusual. While Vampire On Titus is, at times, evocative of 60's era Brit-Pop (as per the usual with GBV), this album is most notable for its pervasive sadness. Jar of Cardinals and Gleemer are jangly hymnals. In all truth, it is an
inconstistent album with several forgettable, metalish clunkers gumming up the works. Still, there's a tragic vibe, here, worth exploring. These days this album is mostly for nostalgic fans of the band. But it was always a bit nostolgic. I love it.
