Jackie's got a wonderful presence, an impressive range, and a deep, elegant, soulful voice. The album's so smooth that if you just had it in the background, you might miss its quiet sophistication. Her laid-back, somewhat ponderous interpretive style and lovely, restrained phrasing inject new breath into the well-known standards that she performs. All musicians on this great collection are top notch.
