Trio West Plays Holiday Songs

About a month ago a friend recommended this album to me and I was slightly wary of purchasing it since I am not one who usually listens to Jazz. I was happily surprised to hear these wonderful selection of songs and the album has been on heavy rotation on my iPod ever since. Trio West are talented musicians who are able to be very creative and at the same time remain true to the classic holiday songs on this wonderful album. Highly recommended.

Wow - these guys kill it! This stuff is cool, bops hard, swings like nobody's business and - oh yeah - just HAPPENS to be a collection of tasty holiday dities. This bad boy is in heavy rotation on my December playlist. Can’t wait to hear what else these guys put out.

This has become my favorite holiday album ever, winning its place next to Nat King Cole's on my shelf and in my heart. If you're tired of all those hokey, overproduced holiday CDs that you can't escape from during December, put on Trio West and rejoice in the atmosphere that will permeate the room: a mixture of nostalgia, sophistication and warmth. Thank you, Trio West, for recapturing the spirit!

This is an instant classic: a tight, swinging album that deserves to be played year-round.

This is simply the best (and possibly the last) holiday album you will ever buy. Sweet, beautiful and timeless.

I have to admit I find myself listening to this album throughout the year since its so relaxing and pleasant. I love how Trio West brought the melodies of these old holiday favorites to the Jazz format. A must have for anyone throwing a holiday party or just planning to stay home with the family.

Here is a recording that you may consider keeping in the rotation all year long, due to its high level of musicianship. But, it will also serve as a smile inducer when you get it out of the attic next year. Trio West have done their part to ensure a "Merry Little Christmas".

these are some of the most hittingest players in NYC. it has a kind of grant green quality about it. everyone should buy this record!!!

highly reccomended. read about this online on a jazz site and the reviewer invoked the Vince Gauraldi thing - I'm always looking for more holiday music like that Peanuts christmas album - - this is it - everyone can dig this from the jazz purists to your uncle al . . . . very tasty indeed!!
