My mother has always loved Yolanda Adams since her "Mountain High... Valley Low" CD. She purchased Adams' Christmas album as soon as it came out in 2000. I was about 10 then. Nine years later, my family and I still can't bring in the Christmas season without Yolanda marching in with her powerful, emotive voice.
My favorite track on this album are "Born This Day"; this song has Yolanda written all over it. Its an instant classic and has great Gospel undertones. Another favorite is "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear"; this song really showcases Yolanda's range and vocal skill as she breaks into a smooth, jazzy flavor. The two medley's on this CD are great and make so much sense in terms of the songs they unite. My favorite medley is Joy; it's very inspirational and uplifting (a God-given talent throught Adams' voice) and a great way to end the album.

What a wonderful Christmas album. I have about 20 holiday CDs and this is one of my new favorites. Great for a party and for driving around town running errands. Yolanda has one of the best versions of Little Drummer Boy around.

I just bought this album this year (2007) because I was downloading one of her other songs (Open My Heart) and I came across this album. After listening to it, I know for sure that this will be a Holiday favorite in my family - I am positive of that!
