My grandma gave me a copy of this album when I was a kid when it was just free music on a WordPerfect 6.0 software demo. I was immediately hooked, and owning over a thousand CD's of all musical genres, this stood out as among my favorites. Well, I leant it to a friend of mine who returned it all scratched up, barely playable. I was heartbroken, and every couple years I look for this album online. Well, thanks to somebody else's review I finally found it, and it sounds just as good and emotional as it once was!!!

More than any other collection of music, Innovators has been a fixture in my life. I remember being very young, maybe 5 or so, and listening to a track or two played on car rides. Now, every song off this album is on my top 100 playlist on my iPod, along with all the crummy pop tunes I listen to. Sage of Lamberene, Rain Maker, and Electric Highway are my dearest favorites, and always help me conjure up deep thoughts and provide great escapism. Every so often, I check to see what new work Sam Cardon and Kurt Bestor have produced, always hoping to find something as moving as this.

Like many people, I received the WordPerfect Six.0 demo CD at Comdex 1993 or 1994. It wasn't until several months later that I realized that it had these audio tracks on it. My teenage daughters loved the music, so I copied the songs to a new audio-only CD for them. Still have the original. Now I'm on iTunes buying the two additional tracks. There is/was a video DVD performance of the suite, but it is no longer available. However, the video is shown frequently on BYU-TV (one Dish and DirecTV).

Originally I got this album as the Word Perfect 6.0 album/Innovators. I wore that out... The CD had this music but it also had a demo of word perfect 6.0. It was awesome... anyways since then I have bought the CD twice more... but had them taken from me... now I need to buy it in Itunes so I can keep track of it....

My best friend let me listen to a recording she had of Three Tools about 9 years ago when we were 15, and I have been in love with it ever since (I was in band and always loved classical music). It is the most beautiful song I've ever heard. Now that I know what it's from, I'm very excited to get the entire album!!

I literally grew up listening to this CD. It belonged to my father and my step-mom. Since I lived with my mother at the time, I didn't listen to the CD after a couple years when my dad moved to California. When I saw this one available at Deseret Book in 2001 with the two new tracks, I eagerly bought it and listened to it for almost two weeks strait. Every track has its pluses, but "Electric Highway" was always my favorite song when I was a kid. My imagination grew around it and others like "Rainmaker" and "Three Tools." Now I enjoy listening to the different genres and themes put into the songs. I strongly suggest getting the actual CD version of this album because every song has a story behind it (much like the PBS broadcast) and they are great to read.

This is simply one of the beast CD's i've ever heard. I really enjoyed it and was amazed by everything it brought to me. I first found this CD when i had to sing the "Prayer of The Children" at a choir concert two years ago and was absolutely stunned when i heard it for the first time. Sence then i've listened to it a thousand times and probably a thousand more. This is a great CD and i've really enjoyed it. Great job!!
