Je ne suis pas français, mais je prends français a m'ecole. Je l'ai etudié pour un project, et nous avons ecouté a son musique. Il est trés bien! J'adore les chansons "Carpe Diem" et "Da Vinci Claude." (Sorry if some of my grammar is wrong, I'm thirteen and got a while to go)

I don't speak of word of french....but I feel that he is an amazing artist & incredibly talented. Would recommend this album or any of his previous works.

I have followed MC SOLAAR since his first album and cannot tell you how much this guy means to me. My french is only passable as a tourist, but my love of his work and his honesty and his talent are....how do you say in America....unquestionable. You should not even begin to contemplate the stupid iTunes review of this work. Buy without hesitation if you've ever heard of him. Buy immediately if you've never heard him. This s_ _ t rocks.

I too speak french and english. The music is different from France to the US so one can't judge what is popular in France to what is new in the US. The album is very good and the style is very free flow. Buy it if you want a new experience.

Today,at 1 O'clock, i bought this album in Champion (Annecy) at 14 Euros it was a rather expensive item, in fact the most expensive or to be precise the highest priced.I was reasonably happy with the first song 'Intreau' and i thought 'Carpe Diem' was astoundingly good in fact very good or to be precise the best. Next was 'Paris Samba' i thought this was quite frightful, too much rhythm and beat and all those ghastly trumpets. 'Clic Clic' was the next entry i thought this was terrible it reminded me of' 'How much is that doggy in the window, woof woof, the one with the waggily tail...' and so on. On the other hand i thought 'Da Vinci Claude' was brilliant,in fact very good or to be precise the best and that ddd ddd ddd ddd (getting higher) was excellent. I was headbanging for 3m :23s exactly. I will not review the rest of the album because otherwise this report will be too long and you will get bored. Ok thank you for taking the time to read this review i hope it has helped you. Good Night. Hello, it's me!. After Da Vinchi Claude, which as you now know is very good, we have In God We Trust. I found where the idea of the name of this song came from. A dollar note. Plagerism. The next entry was Un coup d'oeil dans le metro. Missing a bit of rock. However i found it very enjoyable and to be precise the second best. We carry on to Si on t'demande. i found this rather good, the best line being MCC SSSOOOOLLLLLLAAAAAR. Very good . This ranks second best as well. I think i've heared Au clair du la lune before and to be truthfull, I liked the first one better. Dissapointing effort. Non merci is another poor entry, rash not much music ect. If asked to listen to it the reply would be 'non merci.' Sous les palmiers is let down by that gastly singer Black Jack. This is bad or to be precise the worst. Moving on to Mollah solaar i found this very good beat more modern gets better at the end. Very good. I recommend this to any of you guys out there like me. L'auberge du bouleau blanc has a terrible beginning, i couldn't work out what was happening. Ben Oui is very repetetive but is a very interesting song and is rather good. Avec les loup is difficult to like and not very good. The next entry Merci has a good beat and this got me headbanging for 3:23 Did not like Impact avec le diable at all. gastly. Outro is a good one to finnish on. Overall a very good album, worthy of my 4 stars.
  • A great album from one of the best rappers today. A great mix of style and substance.

Another great album from one of my fave. rappers. One thing I love about MC Solaar is that you always get a mix of sounds and styles. Every album has some slow, some fast, but always with a smooth and very lyrical line to it. This is not for those that love "Money, Cash, Hoes". But if you like Common, or Lupe Fiasco, or any other artist that seeks to tell a story through song, while still having a great time, then he is for you. Songwise, there are a few gems on the album and a few, in my opinion, not as good. But instead of buying a few for $0.99 each, it's worth the $9.99 for all 16 songs. #3 Paris Samba is a fast, latin styled song with a fast beat and faster lyrics. It's the paerfect addition to any weekend party. #4 Clic Clic is more of a fun lounge beat, maybe something to play while lounging in the morning or the drive to work. #5 Da Vinci Claude is one of my faves. off of the album. It starts off slow and mysterious, then kicks into a funky rock beat. [I highly reccomend the music video for this as well] #6 In God We Trust is a nice chill song #17 Impact Avec le Diable is an interesting song mixed with soundbites from speeches. It was one of the more moving songs with Dr. Martin Luther King, Hitler, and others

I speak both french and english so of course i listen to french & american rap. MC Solaar is one of the best in France but he seems to have lost inspiration on this "7th album". There is some reggae, some rock and a lot of weird things that you will never find in the other albums. If you want to check out some MC Solaar, buy any of the previous albums, but not this one.

I really like the song Da Vinci Claude (it's more like than his other stuff, and it works!) and Mollah Solaar). I haven't heard the other songs, but I can at least say that Solaar is never boring. If you are new to him, also check out La Belle et Le Bad Boy, Solaar Pleure, and Au Pays de Gandhi.
