that Chopin should have stuck to writting solo piano music. His attempts at other forms are less thatn thrilling. One could write these off as salon music but his failed attempt at composing a real cello sonata proves that he thought that he could write serious music outside of the solo piano domain. Adapting the violin for the first work was not too hard to do. The playing is all well and good but it's kid's play compared to other works of the era. This gal will will have to record some more substantial works before a true assesment of her talents can me made. It's nice for what it's worth and it's a nice party trick to thow in once in a while to keep people guessing. If you're trying to build your collection you could do well to pass on by this for the time being. -Bz
