Saturday Teenage Kick

The cd wasn't something to be reviewed on a conglomerate's outlet, nor were any of the tracks. To say the music was decades ahead of time is not knowing anything at all ("Create your own scene"). I bought the cd as a teenager and a friend of mine "ripped and burned" it before ms knew of it. Oh, and one of the tracks resonated itself onto a major motion film.

This album is definitely something great. the album review does it no justice. This album and big sounds of the drags should have gotten far more recognition than they did. They have a unique and powerful sound that doesn't need to try to achieve anything as the reviewer believes. its great on its own. I mean seriously, how much more power can you get when underachievers and saturday teenage kick fires up? I'll leave you with this. i have electronic copies from the release, I recently purchased them on cd, and i'm buying it again through itunes to have on this machine because i have no problem supporting this music. If that doesn't mean something, i don't know what does.

I listen to alot of techno.. and after a while it all starts sounding the same. This is somthing different. Even though this is Junkie Xl's first CD it is by far the best. Its lack of popularity, caused him to change his direction and sound. The new albums are too soft and contemptary. The rock/electronic mix is like listening to techno on steriods, very energetic and solid riffs. "Def beat " and "No remorse" are prime examples of perfectly executed mix of the two genres... By the way Itunes made a mistake by making "def beat" and "fight" the same song. The REAL "fight" can be downloaded off the internet , just google "NFS IV soundtrack Download" and its on that play lists. Its a pretty decent song , more electro than rock... yea its illegal but if buy the album might as well get the songs you payed for.

This is an awesome album and the first in the Junkie XL legacy (formerly Urban Dance Squad). If this is too much dance music for rockers, clearly the official reviewer has never been to the Amsterdam club scene. Regardless, this is a great start in Junkie Excellism.

I'm not sure why this is not more popular, it's a really great album, every song is spot on and the beat is good, it's better then just plain dance, it rocks out pretty dang good and I'm sure a lot more people would like this if they would give it a try. Junkie rocks!

Definitely an underrated review. Though JXL's later efforts have veered toward more straightforward electronica, this album stands the test of time, especially when in the mood for something more aggressive. Dealing With The Roster was featured on the Blade soundtrack, and is one of the best songs in my opinion.

I first heard some of these songs on Test Drive 5 and I liked them, and there was also Fear Factory, Gravity Kills, KMFDM, and Pitchshifter and I liked all of them.

Awsome album from the awsome era of Techno. This is a essential to any collection that I highly recomend!

The is Junkie XL with a full band and touring with Gravity Kills and Pitchshifter era stuff. It's also got the lead singer from Urban Dance Squad. It's quite a bit different than when he went solo (Radio JXL), so beware. It's good but it's different. If you like this album, also check out Big Sonds of the Drag, although iTunes does not carry it.

Are Fight and Def Beat the same song? I first heard Def Beat on the Playstation game Test Drive 5. I was like "cool...". But ive had the song until iTunes got this album and just now i realised that fight and Def Beat are the same. Same time and everything....
