    This album is so powerful. Right from the first song, you can feel the power this hypnotic force wanting to take you on to higher and higher plains. Highly recommend this if your into tribal and or "new age". This would be great for meditation, contemplation, and others trying to reach a higher state of consciousness.

    My introduction to Byron Metcalf was "A Warning from the Elders" and it blew me away. Admittedly it was during a reiki session but it still blew me away. I was looking for more of his work that was equally rich in percussion. This is it. It is an earlier recording and is maybe not as sophisticated as Elders but it will not fail to please, especially if you're into drumming or shamanic journeying. It is not a "classic" journeying CD, but it will get the job done, and is an inspirational listen. One caution, it is not without risk.
