He was out of music for many years tending his now deceased spouse however, he never left music. He rather grew up during his time away. This recording surpassed many of his classic earlier classics, instrumentation, creativity are slimly our of this planet. This man does not sound like anyone else. A Jazz / Latin Jazz Icon.

Just what the title says. This is the greatest album ever composed by an artist true to the term "artist."

There are more popular individual songs such as Europa, I Want you and other favorites but if you want ot experience the soul and essence of Gato's work. I think this is it. An unbelievable piece of work...timeless !

i have always been a sax lover, but gato is the man!! I believe that many of the players on the music scene today have used much of his styling. There is no one like Him!!! Que Pasa can rate up there with many of the best albums ever created.

This was my first Gato Barbieri experience and I was supremely impressed. I've listened to many different latin jazz artists over the years; Ottmar Liebert, Antonio De Lucena, Creol Nafeny to name a few. But now I've found a sax player who is silky smooth with that rare latin flavor. Excellent
